The goal of this exercise was to render an anatomical specimen from Grant’s Museum in a naturalistic greyscale illustration on Adobe Photoshop.
Process:
The original sketch of the anatomical specimen was done in-person at the Grant's Museum of Anatomy in Toronto. Using my observational skills and previous anatomy knowledge, I first created a sketch of the specimen with labels of the structures I wanted to identify. This sketch was later refined and cross checked against multiple published  anatomical references to ensure accuracy. Then, the layers of the image was blocked off on Adobe Illustrator before being taken into Adobe Photoshop to complete the final render.
